Turn a memory into something tactile.
I take family photos, snapshots, half-forgotten moments and translate them into stylised line drawings, hand-stitched onto quilted linen or vintage textiles. Each piece is made slowly, with space for names, dates, fragments of text, blocks of colour, or details that feel personal to you. I’ve even stained linen with a loved one’s favourite Earl Grey tea before.
The finished work sits somewhere between drawing, textile, and keepsake: a soft record of a person, a relationship, a moment in time.
People often commission pieces to mark births, anniversaries, birthdays, weddings, or other family milestones but they’re just as much about everyday memories you want to hold onto a little longer.
Or simply, something made for yourself.
All artworks are hand embroidered by me in London. To commision a piece please contact me using the form below. I can work from almost any photograph, but my favourites are unposed snaps, particularly of partners embracing or parents’ sleepy cuddles with their babies. I am happy to advise on photos if you are unsure.
Details
My standard commision is approximately 30x30cm or just over A4 (depending on proportions of the image), My work has unhemmed and frayed edges so the measurements are not precise. I normally work on quilted natural or tea-stained linen (two layers of linen with wadding in between). The cost for this is £200 + postage.
I also work on vintage, found textiles, either from my collection or yours. I am happy to source custom textiles too.
I can also offer framing in a deep box frame with options for either black, white or oak veneer frames). I have also stretched work over circular wooden supports, which can then be hung directly on the wall without framing.

Hand stitching is a slow process so please expect at least 4 weeks before your work is posted. If you are working on a tighter deadline, drop me a message and I will let you know whether I can meet it.
